Summer Lovin' part 2

So much love happening this summer that I couldn't fit it all in one post! Just a few more exciting and fun events until I'm all caught up! Why you ask? Because this blog is a way that my family and I can look back and recap life. I don't know about you, but without pictures I would likely forget so many moments. Pictures AND words are the best way to keep track of those moments that you want to remember :) We also have friends and family all over the country and so I want to make a better effort of keeping them in the loop so that we can stay connected! So without further adieu....

Bryan and I in Columbus celebrating Sean's Law School Graduation!

Celebrating Father's Day with the BEST DAD EVER!!!

If you haven't been to Tremont Tap House on a Tuesday, it's a must go! It's bring your doggy day on the patio! Our friend Mary Jo brought a litter of puppies that she recently fostered and they were a huge hit! Here's one little guy just hanging out with us as we enjoy some delicious food and brews.

Summer time means breaking out the mini-bike for some fun! Mike felt like a kid again!

Yes, this is still the mini-bike. Our friend Tricia is mini too, lol.

Surprise date night dinner @ Pier W! Isn't he the best?!

Gorgeous views of the Cleveland skyline!

I tried my first oyster! They were delicious!

Crab cakes appetizer

Fried Perch on top of a risotto

Simply prepared Halibut and veggies--YUM

Nautical decor inside was pretty cool

He's so thoughtful :) We love date nights!

We've spent lots of time with family this summer with all of the summer birthday parties! Here's a kodak moment with Bryan and little Scottie! Scottie loves to RUN! So this is a rare moment to catch! lol

Another one from 4th of July Fireworks:)

Just a little cuddle time

Dad came to visit us for the day and we got to hit a bucket of balls together at the driving range. Believe it or not, only a couple hours before this a tornado came through our area!

There's something so relaxing about being at the pool....

Oh and our little Tiger. Tiger turned 18 this past April. He has definitely slowed down and loves to sleep and lay in the sun. We are treasuring our days with him as we know they are numbered.

Summer Lovin'

Bryan's latest homebrew concoction. I believe this is a cream ale he is brewing for the Notre Dame game we're going to at the end of August.
Ahhh..summer...What is there not to love about summer?! Bryan and I have been keeping busy(work and coursework) and having fun this summer and we're loving it! Bryan has been brewing lots of beer and has even had many people over to help teach them how the homebrewing process goes! We've spent many days at the pool swimming, which is glorious! I've taken the extra time off to spend more time at the gym, so that I can turn 30 this year in just as good of shape (if not better) than I was in my 20s. Always a plus :) We've spent time with friends, experienced new restaurants, and we're having fun!

Bryan's first marathon

Last fall Bryan decided after successfully accomplishing two tough mudders that he was going to REALLY challenge himself and take on the Cleveland marathon. Of course, like with all of Bryan's big plans, I jumped on board to cheer him on. The first part of training was no big deal; he handled like a champ. Then winter came and it was a bad one. Bryan bought some cold gear and kept on running! Toward the end of his training, his runs were starting to get LONG and therefore a little boring. I would jump on my bicycle and ride alongside him as he ran to entertain him. Then the day came. He was a ball of nerves, but I knew he had it in the bag! He had trained hard and never gave up. He prepped his gear, I made him posters, and we headed downtown for the event. It was an awesome day and I could not have been more proud of my hubby. He is the most dedicated, strong-willed, persistent, and hard-working man I know. All of his hard work paid off and I admit I was choking back tears as I watched him cross that finish line. It was an emotional moment as he walked over to me, muscles full of spasms, exhausted, dehydrated, and eyes full of tears. He said, "I don't think I ever want to do this again..." So sweet, vulnerable, and overwhelmed at what he just endured. 20 minutes later after a few chocolate milks, he starts talking about his next marathon and how he'll train for that one. lol. That's my Bryan! He never turns down a challenge and is always pushing himself to accomplish more! I'm so blessed to be his wife :)
Amen!
Once a cheerleader, always a cheerleader. Of course I made him posters!
All of his gear ready to go for the race!
Running a marathon is more of a group effort than I would've ever thought. Runners really love the support they get on the sidelines. It pushes them to keep going! So thankful that my parents came to help me cheer Bryan on!
5 miles in....He's the most handsome runner I've ever seen!
We saw our dear friend Elsa, a seasoned marthoner, running the race! She is such a wonderful, beautiful person with the biggest heart!
My dad is hilarious. This is him doing herkies to cheer on the runners, lol. Can you tell he had 2 daughters?
We held this poster up for the runners all day. I was awed and so thankful to God to see the amount of  "thank you's" and "amens" from runners as they saw this scripture during their run. God's word is powerful!
Post-run...He did it!!!
Chocolate milk in hand....so happy :)
I'm so proud of my hubby!
Check out all the salt deposits on his face from how much he was sweating! Crazy!

Spring Break in Lancaster!

For spring break this year we decided to go have some fun in Lancaster with Jimmy, Theresa, and the girls and hit up some sites along the way! We visited the Hershey factory, Troegs brewery,  Victory Brewery,  Philly to see Ralph, Children's museum, and ended our trip at the cabin. Looking back on it...we packed a lot into that week and I'm so glad we did because all the time we got to spend with family and each other was so much fun :) Of course you know I took one million photos!!! Here's some of them to recap our trip!
